Love this song. On the Green tour Stipe started the song with an acapella version of Gang Of Fours’ “We Live As We Dream Alone” whilst banging a stick on a metal chair. I’ve no idea why but it was great theatre for 18 year old me. Think that intro can be seen on ‘Tourfilm’.

This one! Many years later the sole band member ended up in Andy Burrows backing band and had a part in the Ricky Gervais film ‘David Brent: Life In The Road’ which thankfully I haven’t seen….

Well done, although in the spirit of your Pulp album review it maybe worth catching their set. Shorn of many of the extra musicians from the recent (fabulous) tour they had to go for ‘bangers’ only 😉

Hard to argue with that, it’s not often bands come back from so long away and make such a solid return though. Yes, it plays to their age maybe a bit too much but they done it really well I feel.

That’s the saddest part of all this controversy - the likelihood that they’ll carry on for longer with their god awful music!

Can fully recommend these folks if you’re in the North West. They service all my watches. Sadly they can’t do Breitling with ‘in-house’ movements but that’s a relatively new thing so if yours is an older model then they can probably sort it. precisiontimeofleigh.com/price-lists

Fantastic band, somehow not as feted as some others who were around at the same time. Honest opinion - ZA not my fave of theirs but “never talking to you again” is one of those songs that could be ten times longer!!!!
