Spine, is out now. It's been called "the funniest book of the year", but it's also an angry, visceral, and ultimately thankful meditation on mortality. With funny jokes.

It's a companion-piece to my previous book, Teeth. So if you enjoyed that, you'll ADORE this one.

@patsycollins.bsky.social Thrilled my short story, "No Light In The Trees", is featured in Weird Horror number 10, just one of a coterie of curiosities contained therein.

Why not buy a copy? You will never sleep again. FACT.

Never sleep again in a GOOD WAY, obviously.

I am thrilled to be able to share Anne Marie Hantho's beautiful cover to Spine, my new book, coming to your bookshelf this summer. A semi-sequel to Teeth, Spine sees me further cataloguing my failing body parts. What's next, you ask.

Probably best not to ask.

You do NOT want to know.

That's how you sex up a dystopian future: a small, badly pointed brick wall front and centre of the action.

In the future, you gotta know where your trowel is.

Detail of a Roman mosaic, 300-400AD. I think that's Romulus and Remus' lovely mum.

The sky is still blue, the clouds come and go, yet something is different.

RIP David Lynch.

Been inspired by reading Roger Lewis' ferocious "Erotic Vagrancy", to watch the, "The Medusa Touch". Burton's never been more waxy and atrophied. His neck has fused to his body. He acts only with his eyes, his bottom teeth, and his extraordinary voice, which is like a black, subterranean pool.

What's this? Brand new music from top pop band Ebbing House? Just in time for Christmas? A blurred and sticky glam racket chock full of hauntological echoes? How seasonal. Why not try it? You might find you like it.

I'm very pleased to say my story, No Light in the Trees, will feature in the tenth edition of Weird Horror, which will be out next April. Here I am with all these cool guys...

Here I am in full book signing action, just writing a little note of thanks to all of you doughty souls who braved the snow yesterday, and saw me launch FINE, finally.

And I really hope you all enjoy the book. Because that's what it's for.

The Society Event of the Season is tomorrow. I launch my first novel, Fine, all over The Harrison. There will be wine, a curated playlist, and me reading at you in a loud voice. I'm currently as sick as a pike, but I shall rally for tomorrow because I'm so desperate to see you. Bye! Love you!

So the New York Times Book Review found my book, Fine, "a witty tragicomic debut".

Wow.
