I'd rather have more "friendly Scots" and "friendly people from all parts of the world" actually staffing the manual checkouts. Get rid of this self service nonsense.

Low wages and lack of opportunities should be tackled first. Then fewer people would choose or need to claim welfare benefits. The answer is not to reduce welfare but raise wages.

Not criticising you personally, but I've never understood why forum members go to the trouble of quoting and retweet offensive posts before blocking them. It's actually giving them more oxygen and potentially offending even more people. I try not to give them the satisfaction and extra notoriety.

I'm not against List MPs as such but I don't think a second vote is right. They should be chosen from the votes given to the parties who were the "runners up" in the one ballot. That way, we can be more sure that this represent the voters' original intent.

Unfortunately, a majority of pro Indy MSPs won't cut it. List Green MSPs shouldn't count especially as most of them didn't bother to stand on the FPTP ballot. I think he's right in stating there should be an actual SNP majority.

I'm not pro Independence although, unlike some, I'd accept it if I was sure that it was the will of the majority. Re the English, they moan about us but also pretend we don't exist. They prefer to insist that everyone is "British" but only when it suits. That does annoy me, I must admit.

Well, we were permitted to leave in 2014 if there had been enough support. We can't have referendums every other year. I'll admit that it's getting near the time when we could have another if there is a clear demand. Also, it shouldn't necessarily depend on a majority of pro Indy MSPS either.

I think every officer has been called that by either his superiors or even working colleagues at one point or other. It doesn't make it right though. We should be moving on from those days.
