It just screams being cheap ngl, especially when the only speaking DLC character is the one who's whole gimmick is having them say whatever you want with relative ease. All I'm sayin Sega, do what Nick All-Star Brawl did and just add the voice acting in an update.

For the record, I still think it's dumb not having the DLC's voiced in general. I get not doing Rival dialog, but having them all be silent is just bad man. Even if you don't wanna brand new lines, there's more than enough recycled dialog for the usual tricks & grunts.

Now I kinda get why Nintendo kept the crossover characters to a minimum in Mario Kart 8, would be crazy to think half of the roster being taken up by non-series characters
