Here's the problem. Trump wants a quick peace with no guarantees that it'll be lasting peace.
Zelenskyy has tried that already and knows Putin cannot be trusted. He knows Ukraine needs long lasting, guaranteed peace.

Here's the problem. Trump wants a quick peace with no guarantees that it'll be lasting peace.
Zelenskyy has tried that already and knows Putin cannot be trusted. He knows Ukraine needs long lasting, guaranteed peace.

It's been over a decade since I last drank alcohol out of buckets and partied to the fire show. Funny enough, not that much has changed. It's still fire lit limbo, the same beach, even the same plastic buckets.

There needs to be NATO security guarantees OR a proper end to the war. Otherwise, millions will remain living aboard where they can safely build and invest into their future.

I hope that Russia takes Trump's offer to end the war, but in reality, Putin is like an addicted gambler who has already lost more than he's willing to admit.
If he stops now, he'll go back empty handed and ashamed. If he continues to borrow money and double down, he thinks there's still a chance.

This in many ways is worse than letting it continue until it’s fully resolved.
Ceasefires don’t work, we need lasting peace with guarantees it won’t just start again. We need an ending to the war.
