Not allowed to give my UK blood here in Austria as it’s not trusted.

I still don’t see where you are going on this???

The City of Munich has a trademark on the word “Oktoberfest” to protect it - so never going countrywide.

But it’s just a big beer festival. There is no aspect that is not copied all around at other beer festivals.

I’m just not sure what point you are trying to make?

Some traditions are linked to a location (Trooping the Colour wouldn’t make sense in Cornwall).

Oktoberfest is the name of the largest German beer festival - but we have very similar beer festivals throughout the year.

That’s an odd question. Oktoberfest is both Bavarian and German as Bavaria is a subset of Germany.

Trooping the Colour always happens in London so it’s both a London tradition but also a British one.

Language evolves. When people use less this often it becomes correct. This is why we don’t still speak like a Shakespeare play.

What’s a book? Asking for a friend.

Simply Red. Makes my blood curdle thinking about them.

And yet for me at least - totally pointless and never needed the results.

So. You’ve come out……smelling of roses.
April 28, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Sure but in the cases you mention they did not meet the minimum requirements - so would never have been worth them even trying to register. They tried to fly under the radar and got caught. For them it was a no lose choice effectively. Easier to apologise later than to ask permission first!

Breaking what law?
April 25, 2025 at 9:25 PM
It is not mandatory. Or was not when the UK citizens were also EU citizens as per your 1st post.
April 25, 2025 at 9:20 PM
The U.K. is not my country. I’m pointing out that U.K. citizens are not used to the need to register….its an alien concept for them. And also that millions and millions all around Europe do not register after 3 months. It’s not a big deal.
April 25, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Here is the official EU rule:

If you are required to register, you may be fined for not doing so but may continue to live in the country and cannot be expelled just for this.

europa.eu/youreurope/c...
Registering residence abroad after the first 3 months - Your Europe
For EU nationals – registering your residence with authorities when in another EU country for a stay of more than 3 months, documents you need.

Sure. Like in Germany and Austria you are supposed to register but calling them “illegal” is a bit strong. There are literally millions of EU citizens moving around all 27 countries and not registering. U.K. for example does not even have registration!!!
April 25, 2025 at 8:46 PM
I’m confused. Before Brexit they were EU citizens so how were 700,000 not legally resident? Any EU citizen can legally live in any other EU country.

On a side note. TRT is not my field (I manufacture medical devices) I think it’s a good idea for men of any age to get a baseline TRT test - ideally as young as possible. That way in later life you know your “happy” level. Might be you naturally run higher or lower than average.
April 23, 2025 at 5:02 AM
You may well find it odd if you are happy with your personal T levels - in which case of course it is a total non-subject for you. However….like you I would also like to see some hard clinical data to back up his comments.
April 23, 2025 at 4:48 AM
It is you that is trying to muddy the waters. He is not comparing American teenagers to his personal T levels (either his natural or enhanced levels).

I am saying that because he chooses TRT himself it actually endorses his theory that T levels in males is dropping.
April 23, 2025 at 4:45 AM
Why weirder? If he is saying that T levels in the population are dropping then it’s logical if he has the time and finances to also increase his own low T levels? He is literally backing up the claim with his own actions.

I think the U.K. pension is quite generous with the triple lock. But you are a silly to rely on it as your only retirement income - that would not be a clever choice.
April 20, 2025 at 2:52 PM
And of course you should top up your UK to the maximum by making extra NI payments. Deadline now gone for the 2006 back payments but you can still add another 6 years to your 20.
April 20, 2025 at 2:51 PM
You don’t need to hit the minimum in an EU country as your UK years count towards the total. Thats the agreement. So you could have 10 years uk, 5 years Belgium and 5 years in Spain for example and get a proportional pension from each country on retirement.
