They could easily avoid that with Burlington Vt., Northampton Mass. or Portland Me. The thing is that the smaller the blue area the more radicals per per capita. There is a reason that Bernie Sanders got elected in the state with the 2nd to last sized population. That would not go well for them.

I live in one place that would be in the natural progression. The thing is that when you go further down the line the more condensed and radical the population of old hippies and younger social justice warriors gets. I live in a very small town but most of it would be eager to get in their way.
