Yesterday we lost a legend. George Folsey Jr. had his hands in everything from Animal House to Thriller. I was lucky enough to not only have worked with him and learn from him, but call him a friend. RIP George. It was a pleasure.

Small Things Like These swooping in and becoming one of my favorites of the year. Murphy carries an entire film with as many words as you get in a haiku. Tim Mielants’s gentle restraint, mixed with some well-timed aesthetic swings is big in a small way.
