Ah, I wish I knew that was an option. While I’m primarily a SEO, a good chunk of my private consulting comes from my 20+ years as a web dev and WordPress is my specialty. So yeah, you could say i have stable in this too. I hope Matt gets what’s coming to him.

I don’t think you were necessarily wrong there either though. It sounded like it can be both depending on which side of the bed the algo woke up on.

The limit logins isn’t by IP address but by username and it’s unlikely to figure out the password in 3-5 attempts.

I just remove the xmlrpc all together.

Brute force shouldn’t be happening in login pages. The login limits are set at default. However, brute forcing xmlrcp.php is still very possible.
