So, 5e did have some book with more subclasses. The notable ones were "Xanthat's Guide to Everything" and "Tasha's Cauldren of Everything", the later had Circle of Stars druid.
You can also go to the WotC site and get play test classes from their Unearthed Arcana. Unless they changed that.
