Czech Billionaire Daniel Křetínský is taking over Royal Mail for £3.5bn.

His first step is to halve mail deliveries which will save £300m by getting rid of staff.

Prices will go up, employee's down, services down.

And every penny in profit goes to his tax haven accounts.

Oh come on Labour - so depressing to hear Pat McFadden say UK has no plans for a youth mobility scheme with the EU. We have schemes with NZ, Australia, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Uruguay & more - only reason not to have one with EU is fear of right wing press. Such cowardice @bbclaurak.bsky.social

Our recent analysis highlighted the importance of capacity for management and quality assurance - biodiversity intactness within England's protected areas (incl. National Landscapes) was just 32% in 2020...!

If we are to protect nature for 30by30 and beyond, proper prioritisation is essential.
National Landscapes - until recently called AONBs - told to expect 12% cut in budgets from Defra

If the Govt is to meet its 30x30 pledge on nature recovery, there’s no credible route without boosting powers & budgets for National Parks & National Landscapes:

Defra cuts pose ‘existential threat’ to England’s most beautiful areas
Exclusive: National landscapes’ chiefs say environment secretary has given no budget assurances and they are to expect cuts
