This is autumn at the peak: bright reds and golds, some bare branches already, but still a legacy of summer green. Beautiful combination!

I like H.D.’s poetry. In particular I routinely go back to her wartime work ‘The Walls Do not Fall’.

Well read, well commended. My personal discovery of Wilfred Owen transformed my view of poetry when I was sixteen and his Dulce et Decorum Est was a giant megalith in the landscape for me.

Thank you for adding this. I didn’t remember his name although I thought I had taken a photo of it. I hope he found long lasting mental health eventually – his artwork was inspiring.
