They all have fiat currencies and therefore can avoid a debt crisis if they choose to. More of an issue is do they have sufficient resources (labour, materials) to support an ageing population

I imagine the anxiety created for faculty running vivas for hundreds of students for multiple modules is indeed likely to be a main determining factor!

And could be part of a solution but are time consuming to administer and can generate more anxiety than traditional written exams

That might be the policy in your organisation but it is not the law

That’s not true at all. It is illegal to discriminate on the basis of a protected characteristic, but there is nothing preventing organisations from hiring someone because they are related, or a friend, etc

The main effect of the changes to the Apprenticeship Levy will likely be the closure of high quality degree Apprenticeship courses (many of which are completed by young people) in favour of poor quality online programmes
