Hidden in plain sight, Mountain Mahogany seed forms are amazing. Designed to sit patiently on the ground until the rain softens the soil and uncoils the spring, driving the seed into the Earth's embrace.

Love that the local fox population is rebounding and that they love where we live and visit often. From the deck.

From my front door series, love where we live! Saw him dive into the grass and come up with a snack. He landed for just a moment before the harassment of the Stellar s Jays drove him away with his prize.

A den was under a friend's deck. Great watching the 3 kits playing and this one posed for me

One of my favorite captures of last year for the challenge of the subject. Pika are very wary of people and I had to sit perfectly still for over an hour, watching the patterns of his movements with the hope of catching a good action shot. Complete Bistort flower and him in mid air!
