I write about every Chicago #Cubs game, with three up, and three down at CubCavern.substack.com.

Offseason: Colts fan, Iowa Hawkeye alum, Portland Trailblazers. Wow, am I eclectic.

All seasons: Pearl Jam, grunge, sarcasm.
My guess is they rally and finish 11-6 but if the Colts do slip to 10-7, I’m mentally preparing for that loss in tiebreaker to the Chiefs, Steelers or Texans for a playoff spot.

Either way, not getting past the first weekend and purgatory endures.

I’m convinced CJ Stroud and Nico Collins have a “pretty good” ceiling as well, unfortunately they play the Colts 2x a year and pad those stats.

It is absolutely criminal that the Colts traded two firsts for Sauce Gardner.

Yes, the Colts are pretty good. Sauce is pretty good. Now looking at “pretty good” for quite some time, and unfortunately, this is what “pretty good” is. Still in purgatory and Ballard’s all-in move will keep us there.

So AI has improved your internet sleuthing and meme output by being 10 percent better. Will we ever exit the trough of disillusionment?

It is very funny to me how Google and Open AI have moved to mass marketing for AI subscriptions with the benefit that “chat gpt can spit out a workout plan” and “Google Gemini can find a replacement stuffed lamb and lie to your kid that the lamb was in Tahiti.”

And here comes Coke’s newest AI-generated holiday ad, which perennially goes into my AI and creative dev presentation. Plays about as well for the maketers as it does in the YouTube comments. “You can, but should you?”

Did not expect the Colts to win today against a desperate Chiefs team. That doesn’t make this one any less easy after being up 20-9.

Too much to ask for a defense that played pretty good on balance.

Chiefs D-line brought it that play. It’s been tough for Jones to find his slot this afternoon, Downs or otherwise.

I’m sure there was a face mask, roughing, clipping, taunting, stabbing penalty that will be assessed and give the ball back to the Chiefs, so hang tight here #Colts fans
