I didn't really enjoy the Wicked movie but thought Cynthia Erivo seemed cool in interviews and I'd liked her in Widows, Bad Times at the El Royale and the Luther movie.

However, having just started watching s2 of POKER FACE (in which she plays half the cast) she might just be my fave actor ever :)

... ooh, I've been moderated! Fair enough. Here's a different pic instead!

Picking up on my Haunting of Hill House rewatch. I know 'The Bent Neck Lady' is the big episode for most but, foof, 'Two Storms' is the one where I became a Flanagan-devotee for good!

I know about 30% of my posts here are about #DeathStranding but I'm about to watch music/songs from the game live in concert and I'm pretty buzzy.

I go to geeky events all the time but being surrounded by 1000s of folk who also love this weird, lovely, post-apocalyptic walking game feels lovely!

Impressed by the recent Buzzfeed Showdown where you play the biggest A24 movies against each other for the champion. I got down to these final 2 before I went and hugged my TV.

Some shitty teens hit me in the head with a stone the other night while I was sitting outside the cinema. In completely unrelated news, I'm now watching 1987's THE BLOB destroy some shitty teenagers. Completely unrelated, I tell ya.

Ooh nice! Just clocked that my questions for ITV's 'The 1% Club' have just started popping into this season. Devilish to write (many attempts perished along the way) but v good fun to put together!

I ate these veggie breakfast waffles and am pretty pleased about it.

Okay, let's peek back into BlueSky for a bit. How are you? My October wasn't my favourite but I did read these brilliant haunting books in prep for Halloween. Recommended reading from very different vantage points!

In a small-town cafe basically playing the jaunty radio soundtrack from LAKE and obviously I'll now move here.

I call it 'Moon over Karaoke'. No filter. Many showtunes. Great night.

Really enjoyed this. A funny, tender, insightful and engaging bit of Friday night theatre.

I'm exceedingly late to @ssnyder1835.bsky.social and @ffrancavilla.bsky.social's NIGHT OF THE GHOUL party but this is such an absorbing and atmospheric self-contained mythology as revealed through a compact but expansive plot and creeping dread. Er, perfect Sunday reading? #HorrorComics

The long weekend means I've been able to race through the second half of ANGEL DOWN to its big finish. I started reading to make sure I wasn't ripping it off with a keyword-similar-ish idea. Nope. I wish. And even with the tight, tense plot, it really is the storytelling that hits hard here! 5⭐️

Technically a gig-themed movie double bill of screenings of K-POP DEMON HUNTERS and THIS IS SPINAL TAP.

I enjoyed this more than I expected. Bad/cautionary romance and Arkham as comfort horror? (Also, awesome Poison Ivy appearance,of course)

... it feels like a prompt to enjoy some Saturday morning coffee and horror comics. Oh go on then.

Oooh, of course, I'd forgotten we'd not quite finished and still needed to watch THE PLAN. Is there much better than @janeespenson.bsky.social writing multiple pissy narcissist Cylon Dean Stockwells? I think not!

Quote this with a book you read way too early that explains why you are the way you are.
