Yesterday my mother, out of nowhere, stated that she would like to donate to the RNLI but that she won't because they keep picking up migrants from the channel.
My heart sank.

Exactly this, it's a great opportunity for niche/specialist production rather than for the the mass produced.
I'm sure there must be a lot Texan beef connoisseurs who would be willing to pay a premium for rare UK bred beef.

Don't sell them what they have already got.

Staggering levels of hypocrisy.

Yet their followers will just double down and suck it up.

Let's not focus on 'growth plan', they didn't have a plan of any sort.
They got what they wanted, but then there was nothing, nada, nix, and even after many years of probing and prodding there is still nothing to write home about.

Referendum No1: Do we want to jump out of the airplane.
Answer: Yes

Some discussion later,

Referendum No2: Are you happy with your dodgy looking parachute.

Tbh, I'm still celebrating that Jacob is no longer an MP.
Let's not give him the time of day.

With ~4.5 years to go until the next GE - who gives a f... .

Labour have a huge majority, if they can rise above all the right wing noise, they can virtually do as they please.

Though the odds are stacked against them, 4.5 years is a long time in politics.
January 14, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Agreed.
Ultimately, Labour are in power with a decent majority for at least another 4.5 years.

They just need to get on with it and ignore all the noise as best they can.
The RW media will batter them no matter what they do.

Don't kid yourself, all elections are now decided by social media.
Even those people that don't have 'social media' are influenced by people that do.
Whether you like it or not 'Social Media' now is the 'Media'.

Elon now controls how a large part of that media works.

$44bn was cheap

Well done LBC, seeing as James O'Brien is a great supporter of the Tories, this line up makes perfect sense.
WTF

Great picture.
I think this must be the approach to 'Wehrseifen', so slowest corner on the track.

Looking at the size of crowd and given the length of the track, I can't help wonder what the attendance would have been back then.

Good to see Enciso and Gruda starting.
Shame about Ferguson.

Good looking team - there will be goals.

Any use? Since Elon - probably not.
However I do feel that Sophie's bomb dropping talents might be wasted over here.
December 27, 2024 at 6:41 PM
Please don't stop dropping bombs in the other place, they provide many of us with a great source of entertainment.
