Oooh. Sounds good. There is a system called, Paleomythic, I think. I haven't used it, but you may like it. Or, are you using your own system? Good luck :)

Hey at least you found it. I haven't. I ran a few games but there are two guys in our group that are master game...masters? Lol. I'm a player at heart.

Ha, that would make the players happy. Keep on the Borderlands was classic!

I have a car wars game from eons ago at my camp. Haven't played it since the 80's. I think I picked up the version I have on ebay 20-25 years ago-Yikes, time flies.

I started on Basic too. Fun times. Our teen brains read the rules as 'Clerics can throw fireballs' that was one of our many misinterpretations.

Basic D&D around 1981, then Expert, Advanced and 3. We (still some of same guys today),did outgrow D&D and played tons of others through the 80's, then settled on D100 games, MERP, ROLLMASTER/SPACEMASTER, HARP. Then WHFRP and finally, AGAINST THE DARKMASTER, which has been our goto since release

Love vsdm. Easy print to read, great art. No glare on pages. The way a ttrpg book should be :) Been playing since it came out.

We've been playing Against the Darkmaster (VsDM). It’s a gritty, d100 system — very MERP/Rolemaster vibes, just minus the smoking calculators. We’ve also started creating adventures for it through our indie outfit, Grizzled Lore. Always happy to connect with VsDM fans or other indie creators.

To me playing any ttrpg is about creating a story. It is an interactive production where everyone at the table contributes, celebrating all of the wins and lamenting the losses. Whether you are a combat driven group or story driven group, they both provide the same thing. The devil is in the details
