If I allow anger into my day over what other people do or have, or things that are happening far away from me, I don't consider that progress for myself. I do not consider anger an experience of comfort, or conducive to progress in my day. Anger makes me do things poorly. It's living poorly. (6)

In the course of all this, all kinds of activities take place. I work, I meet and speak to people, I write emails or social media posts, repair things around the house or on the car. I focus on the activity that yields progress. If I'm yelling politics at people or the TV, I'm stuck in my head. (5)

Eventually I'll get comfortable. Life seems better. Then something about that new place will seem unsatisfactory to me and I'll want more progress toward comfort again. This is in all of our nature. (4)

I have to accept change in order to allow myself to progress as an individual. Since progress takes us to new places, every time I make a little progress with myself, it's a new place. It's unfamiliar territory, I don't necessarily recognize myself, and I have to adjust and regain balance. (3)

A constant in my worldview is the notion of progress, for myself and other individuals, and for human society as a whole. If I'm against progress, what good am I to humanity? I'd be the epitome of a brick wall if that was my stance, and I would deserve to be called a pain in the ass. (2)
