Genuinely grateful for how engaged LD20 is - best district in Nebraska!

Late yesterday, LB 89 passed the final round of floor debate. We’ve all seen this tired playbook before: using one community as a political pawn to distract from lawmakers’ failure to solve actual issues facing our State.

❌ Mental health courts
❌ Veterans’ courts
❌ Transitional housing
❌ Juvenile services

These and more will be eliminated if the #NELeg passes the current draft of our state budget.

“Pro-women” and “pro-family” are phrases used often by my colleagues in the Legislature.

But the thing is, many of them are more interested in lip service than ACTUALLY passing bills that protect kids from predators like LB12.

Instead, their trans youth obsession continues…

This year’s #NELeg platform is not living up to Nebraska standards. We’re seeing bills to set a subminimum wage, exclude workers from earning paid sick leave, and cut social services. (1/2)
