I would love it if public discourse on data centers could be just a skosh more sophisticated than "data centers good vs. data centers bad."

We know the economy is bad, but we use dollars in the U.S., not pounds.
Oz: We thought it was 125 million pounds. Our estimate is Americans will lose 135 billion pounds by the midterms

How's this for energy abundance? Millions of Aussies will start receiving three hours of free power each day in 2026. This is what happens when you make rooftop solar less than a buck a watt!!

"Rooftop solar installations cost about $840 (U.S.) per kilowatt of capacity before rebates." 🤯

Unbelievable! Saving parents $15,000 per year or more is a cheap way to get more adults into the workforce.
New Mexico is now officially the first state to offer free child care to all residents.

Under the program all families, regardless of income, can get their child care fees covered.

Proponents say the program will help the economy, improve education, and boost child welfare.

This is why running a political party based on polling is a losing strategy. You are following narratives. Winners CREATE narratives.
I really am just working from the basic premise of political science that public opinion isn’t just measurable — you can and should CREATE it.
This never stops being true, but I’m not sure Ds have ever, at least in my lifetime, learned to apply it for good. *Creating* public opinion either never occurs to them, or if it does, offends their sensibilities? It’s exasperating
