Rarely will a consistent leader produce an inconsistent team. And vice versa, an inconsistent leader almost never produces a consistent team.

Amplify Your Personality

People are ultimately going to buy (or not buy) you.

If you build a brand around a personality that is not you (or you don't like) you'll hate your business.

Plus it won't work. People are smart and will see through it...being yourself is worth more if you embrace it.

Choose one medium. Master it. Then build redundancy.

If you’re trying to write, talk, speak, podcast, etc; you’re probably not doing a great job at all of them and you’re going to end up repelling a section of people who would connect with you if you’d just go all in on one.

Humans never genuinely pursue happiness; they only pursue relief from uncertainty. Happiness emerges momentarily as a byproduct whenever uncertainty briefly disappears.

Most people say: “I just can’t find the time to x.”

The thing about priorities is that you never “find the time”.

If it’s a real priority you create the time.

Change it from:

“I can’t find the time” to “I’m going to create the time.”

Then fill that space in with whatever your priority is.

I recently signed up for Ship 30 for 30.

Here's why:
1. To prove I can stick w/ something.
2. Clear writing leads to clear thoughts.
3. Clear thinking leads to clear communication.

Over the next 30 days I'll write about my 5 F's of a Wealthy Life: Faith, Focus, Family, Finances, and Freedom.

What we make stands testament to who we are.
What we make describes our values.
What we make describes our pre-occupations.
It beautifully and succinctly describes our pre-occupations.

Performance without a purpose is one hell of skill to have.
No finish line.
No glory.
No nothing.
And yet, you still perform.
One hell of a skill.

Creating vs Finding

Most people say: “I just can’t find the time to ____.”
The thing about priorities is that you never “find the time”.

If it’s a real priority you create the time.

Life comes down to two things:
1. Knowing how to get what you want
2. Knowing what’s worth wanting

Recently watched an episode of Modern Wisdom with guest Dr. John Delony and as someone who has struggled with imposter syndrome this hit home:

"One of my favorite definitions of imposter syndrome: the fear that other people are judging me as harshly as I’m judging myself."

The clearer you are about your priorities, the easier it is to say no.
