Another oldie, this one from June, 2013, taken in my backyard. This dragonfly was very aware of me and kept flying away and then returning to the same branch. It may have been messing with me, I dunno. (1/1000th, f8, ISO800 using a D700 which is my very favorite camera.)

I made this image of snow in a field almost exactly 10 years ago today while living in Warwick, N.Y. Those humps were created by tall grasses that were bent to the ground by the snowfall. I drove past this scene, went home and grabbed my D700. (1/800th, f14, ISO1600) #photography #black&white

Backyard sprinkler from April 30, 2006 using the ancient technology D70 camera. (Handheld at 1/50th, f14, with the ISO "not recorded.") If I ever taught a course I would tell people that there are good images waiting to be made everywhere - even from mundane objects in your backyard. #photography
