Visited Huis Doorn outside Utrecht in the Netherlands — the final home of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

After Germany’s defeat in 1918, the Kaiser went into exile at the insistence of Woodrow Wilson—as a condition for ending The Great War. He brought with him 64 train carloads of possessions.

I learned details yesterday about the persecution of the Jews in Holland while I was visiting the Dutch National Holocaust Museum. It is located next to a kindergarten, which was used as a deportation site for children.
