It's all bad but hadn't seen the bit where Farage says:

"The European Union is the prototype for the New World Order."

That is a seriously, deeply problematic term that taps into Illuminati and antisemitic conspiracy theories.

How the fuck did this man direct the course of our politics?
We kept the receipts. These comments, taken together, paint a picture of the man he is today.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Amazing there's a strike or demo, some right winger is totting up the cost to the economy. But cut off the water in Tunbridge Wells and it's treated like it's a natural occurrence. Inconvenient not very well dealt with but suddenly nobody seems to be out with the calculator.

Dear BBC my note to them this afternoon. What can you do but try to keep up some pressure.

Before the Tories starts up about Tulip Siddiq. Let's all just take a look at the first paragraph of the the government guidance on the judicial system in Bangladesh. And let's remember, this was written by a conservative government in 2023.

Nice to hear Alex Burghart mopping up for Kemi (never make a mistake) Badenoch who did say yesterday that taxes went up only for benefits. Then get a businessman on to suggest she did a bad thing (though not of course the thing that the Tories said she did) Thanks BBC Today Radio 4

Excellent!. So "My Party" have decided on a politburo instead of a leader. And that you can be a member of other parties and be a member of their party. What could possibly go wrong? Especially when the person who set it up was against both these policies.

@lewisgoodall.com I can't really believe you've been sucked into the. Did Rachel lie? question. There is a reason they really want to talk about that. It's because they don't want to talk about the budget. There's little for the Tories to hate except being kind to children & the left? Pretty happy
November 30, 2025 at 11:30 AM
There is a reason everybody is focusing on whether Rachel lied. It's so they can talk about anything other than the budget. Because with the exception of lifting children out of poverty, the Tories haven't got much. They can kick in this budget and even the left are feeling pretty good about it

Laura Kuenssberg complaining that Rachel Reeves is making the same points she made during the week when asked questions by Laura. The reason is Laura you're asking the same questions that Rachel's been asked all week. Which I'm mostly obsessed about whether she lied not the content of the budget.

www.thejc.com/opinion/the-.... So the big takeaway from this is? The more anti-semitic you are, the more they'll get used to it and it'll be water off a duck's back. Unusual position for the Jewish Chronicle to be taking and not one that I share
The Guardian, the BBC and the weaponisation of antisemitism against Nigel Farage - The Jewish Chronicle
It’s an effort to cast the Reform UK leader as far right when he and his party are mainstream. He should be judged on his actions today, not on schoolboy insults from half a century ago

When are we allowed to start talking about Nigel farage being a racist again please?.
November 28, 2025 at 10:33 AM
It's time for journalists to stop allowing politicians to say it's what the British people want and believe in. They need to say " so Mrs Badenoch let's be clear you are resentful at the idea of giving up a little bit of you're not insubstantial salary in order to lift children out of poverty?"
November 28, 2025 at 4:40 AM
Coverage of the budget is so weird. It's being framed around the early release by the obr. A framing that says this has been done for back bench Labour MPS. But money off fuel bills. Minimum wage up removal of children in poverty in the hundreds of thousands that doesn't seem to be for the people??!

@helenmiller.bsky.social Could we have a smaller state? Of course we could. You are obsessed. Yes we could have shoeless children on the street, we could no health care for the poor. A smaller state is what the wealthy yean for to reduce their contribution.
November 26, 2025 at 1:50 PM
@helenmiller.bsky.social Stop using the term "Tax Burden". It's infuriating. It takes a position that Tax is bad. It isn't. We would have nothing as a society without Tax. So Tax goes up, it goes down, it plays different roles in society at different times. Stop with the deprecating term

I'm so sick of the media and "experts". I'm waiting for the future headline "Trump Executes Senator, in a Break with Tradition, claims law professor." 🤡🤡🤡

I know I may seem like a complete psycho for saying this but I simply don't understand why the European Union & UK hasn't moved its border into Ukraine and face up against Russia. Sure they have nuclear weapons.Guess what? So do we.I thought that was the point of nuclear mutually assured destruction

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Farage talks of "banter" when asked about him expressing racism. He questions their memories of being subjected to it. Of course they remember. It will have been scarring. On the other side, although I wasn't ever a bully I remember vividly things I said when young that I'm ashamed of. So should he.

I was nearly knocked down by a car turning right and not seeing me. He slowed looked for cars then accelerated hard. My shouts stopped him a handful of feet away. My concern is if he had been in an electric he'd have killed me. Should we be questioning the acceleration capacity of electric cars?

Listening to all the talk about Rachel Reeves. I don't want a chancellor for business. I don't want a chancellor for the low-wage economy. I want a chancellor for the country for the people; equitableness and for taking the country forward in a positive way

What happened to Claire Fox? Was it the Catholic upbringing. Was she bullied at school or dropped on her head. Either way she is not a suitable person to be in the house of lords (courtesy of Boris Johnson) or on Newsnight adding to their "balance".

It's an unusual situation where the man I least have economic, political orthodox sympathy with in the cabinet. Wes Streeting is probably the man that I'd like to be in charge. Of course we need to increase tax but at least streeting can communicate some ideas.
