I understand it to be *far weirder. At a fundamental quantum level, identical molecules don’t carry an eternal “I am molecule #1237” tag, and the “exact same molecule” is really just a coarse-grained poetic notion. Quantum indistinguishability washes away any strict identity once you zoom in enough.
