ULEZ means about 1,500 sq kilometres - the whole of Greater London - is covered by road emissions control.

Stop and think about that for a second. It's incredible. Its impact on public health has been huge.

Studies said it would take 200 YEARS to reach this emission level. Khan did it in five.

I’ve just noticed an odd coincidence: SuperTed (80s) had Bulk and Skeleton, while Power Rangers (90s) had Bulk and Skull.

Related to that, why did they even interrupt the transaction? Ie they could have just waited until the bartender plonked down a glass of whisky. That suggests that they were amusing themselves by seeing what kind of cover story the people could come up with.

My smart meter was fine indoors (hallway). However, I want to put in a downstairs loo, and the meter was in the middle of the wall where the new doorway needs to go, so I had to move it outside.

Signal boosters are worth a try, but I haven't used one.

Tip 2: If you've got all the cost/hassle of digging trenches etc., get a quote for 3-phase so that you can compare them.

In my case, the DNO charged £935 for 1-phase or £3550 for 3-phase, but it will depend on your location.

Tip 1: Get an isolator switch fitted between the meter and the consumer unit. That way, you can turn off power to the house (e.g. for future electrical work) without getting the DNO or supplier involved, i.e. you won't have to touch the cut-out.

In my case, the DNO (National Grid) were able to move the meter, but then it lost the smart functionality, i.e. the supplier (OVO) had to visit to get that working.

Also, the DNO connected the meter to the cut-out but I had to hire an electrician to connect the meter to my consumer unit.

There are some companies who do that now, eg Kobo will let you add books to your wish list through the app but you have to buy them on the website.

Comixology was the same (before it got merged with the Kindle app).

Once told the chef at my regular cafe that I was dubious about ordering the trout because I didn't want my food looking back at me. She assured me she'd take care of it. I thought she meant cut off the head, but no - it was served with a little lettuce blindfold.

I don’t know whether this counts as an accessibility issue, but I’ve seen some pdf forms where you can’t type into the boxes - you have to print it out, hand write, then scan it back in.

Those pdfs remind me of the old websites for plumbers which were just a photo of a flyer - no (digital) text.

Hardly my whole life :) I follow someone who retweeted you (or the BlueSky equivalent) and I recognised the cartoon because I also follow the artist.

As you say, you have a lot more followers than me (or him) so this is a good way for his account to get more visibility.

No malice intended.

Looks good! Are the paw-sized gaps a deliberate choice (to give both cats the option of physical contact) or was that just based on the size of the perspex sheets?
