Just finished Death of the Author by @nnedi.bsky.social and it is glorious. It made me feel, it made me think, it made me care, and it made me dream. That is the power of a good story & the artistry of a talented storyteller. ❤️

I know that folks outside of New England may think it odd to say, but Wicked was Wicked Good. Not trying to be punny. The film, the cast, the music, the choices, the performances… it was all amazing. Pure movie magic & a powerful message. 💚💚💚

Saw Moana 2 today & really enjoyed it. Love a film with heart that has me leaving the theater feeling happy 🥰

❤️ how Bluesky lets me control who & what I engage with. Why the Foquelberry should some rando get to turn my time online into the equivalent of Bastian ending up in a dumpster or watching Artax sink in the NS movie? Let toxic folks bully each other. I’m here for art, insights, & human connection 😊

Rewatched Wish (😍). Wonder if some of the hate about the villain "becoming evil out of nowhere" was more because people didn't like how a seemingly benevolent person who "protected others" could be toxic & manipulative all along. It's more of a real-life mirror than an obviously bombastic villain.

Really enjoyed the season finale of Agatha All Along the other night & the show as a whole. The cast was phenomenal. The story was intriguing. And it was just a lot of fun. My only complaint is that it’s over now & I won’t be able to wonder what will happen next week! 🤪

Finished season 3 of Heartstopper last night 🥰 Love how the show remains hopeful & joyful & focuses on connections even with all the things the characters are going through. The cast is amazing. Hope they get to do another season.

Happy Friday, Great British Baking Show day! I think tonight I’ll be nestled all snug in my bed with visions of pastries 🥮 dancing in my head 🤪

Days later & I’m still thinking about how good episode 7 of Agatha All Along was. Patti LuPone is a legend for a reason. 🧙‍♀️🤩

The only problem with watching Agatha All Along right after it comes on is that I can’t stop thinking about it afterwards & wondering what might happen next! (Which makes getting to bed take a bit longer 🤪) Oh well, I guess there are worse problems to have 😂

“Gladys Who Has Seen Some Shite” has got to be one of my favorite character names ever. 🤩 Just started Candle & Crow by the very talented Kevin Hearne & I’m enjoying it just as much as the first two books. Such a fun series 🥰

The Great British Baking Show is such a cozy way to end the work week. 🥰 The only problem is now I want yummy baked goods & I don’t have the energy to make any or go find some. How about we rethink tech investments & develop the equivalent of a Star Trek replicator to recreate bakes from the show 🤪

Agatha All Along is sooooo much fun! Kathryn Hahn is absolutely amazing and Joe Locke is a gem. 🖤🧙‍♀️

So we've got this problem (see below), and numerous folks have kindly bought book bundles to help us deal with it—and it'd be really useful if some more people did the same. If you can grab a bundle, or reskeet this for others' attention, it'd be great. Thanks very much (in advance) for your help! 😊

Just finished reading Killers of a Certain Age. What a blast! It may be completely different from the Veronica Speedwell books, but it’s just as sharp and engaging. I felt like I was binge watching the first season of a new streaming series. Also saw there’s a new adventure coming in 2025. Woo Hoo!

Really enjoyed Midnight at the Houdini, by Delilah S. Dawson & really glad that I was reminded to check it out recently. 🤪 What a great book & world to escape into! Saying it was magical is kinda cliché, but it really was for me. And I loved how it ended. Good times. 🥰

Finished The Dragon’s Promise by Elizabeth Lim. Another sweeping fantasy that let me escape into a story that kept surprising me. And I loved Kiki. 🥰 Such a great character. Great read & great duology.

Had a blast watching this week’s episode of Doctor Who. Ncuti Gatwa is brilliant as the Doctor. His 2 hearts are bursting with emotion. The music & the drama & the twists & the costumes & the chemistry were everything. Who knew “brooding” could be so much fun. 🤪
