Park near/under the Chill Factore and walk. Back door route going is 12 mins, street return is 15 mins. You'll be on the M60 after another 10 mins.

RSPB Leighton Moss, Silverdale is very nice and relaxing. Hawswater amazing, but get there (Mardale Head) early, then get your boots on and go walking.

The 'authorities'are clearly not going to put their heads above the parapet, they've already voted for it. It would be very interesting if the players started to threaten a boycott. Can't see it mind.
