This is an opportunity for folks who are feeling helpless, horrified, and hobbled to speak through a larger platform than their Zuckbook page.

Think of it this way: if you’re too busy to make your own documentary film— you can be a part of ours.

What You're Seeing Isn't New

We exist to set the historic record straight. If people don't understand yesterday, they won't understand today.

This Ida B. Wells dramatization features Effie Mwando, reading an editorial while Dr. Manisha Sinha adds cultural context and details.

Pushing The Rock is a musical documentary about systemic racism in The United States, and some heroes who pushed back.

If you feel like you're weathering a firehose with a dimestore umbrella, our crowdfunding campaign can put a megaphone to your voice in speaking out for truth.

We just recorded an interview with Brown's most prolific historian and Biographer, Dr. Lou DeCaro about a week ago. He began the interview with this point: "Before I talk about who John Brown was, I want to say who he wasn't..."

It was a great day.

We are just about finished filming “Pushing The Rock"

We recently interviewed Dr. Louis DeCaro Jr., who spoke on Malcom X and John Brown.

We will launch a crowdfunding campaign in three weeks—on November 7.

WELCOME HOME, Ysanne!

We, the Torrington Browniac battalion, were thrilled to witness Ysanne and Lotus Blues at the Torrington Historical Society.

Ysanne contributed mightily to our first film, "His Truth Is Marching On," and it wouldn't have been nearly as good without her.

We ♥️ her!

We will be launching a crowdfunding campaign November 7 and we'd like your help choosing what to fund.

Because crowdfunding gives people outside the production team a voice, we want to know what parts you'd like to be a part of.

The so-called Confederate States of America (1861–1865), and South Africa under apartheid (1948–1994), are examples of Herrenvolk democracy.

The German term means "master race,” used in the nineteenth century to justify German colonialism’s supposed racial superiority.

Herrenvolk Democracy

A nominally democratic government where only a specific ethnic group can vote and run for office, other groups are disenfranchised.

Honoring Black American soldiers in the Civil War, without whom, the Union may well have crumbled.

Memorial Day began in 1865, when formerly enslaved people in Charleston, South Carolina, reburied Union soldiers and held a memorial procession.
