Steam isn't a monopoly just because EGS, EA Origin, Windows Store, Battle net, Uplay, etc all failed to offer compelling platforms for PC users.

Go build your game in Roblox, over 20M people could play your game at once

The PS5 Digital Edition 825GB is now sold in the US at $499 at PlayStation Direct. This looks to be replacing the 1TB edition at the same $499 price.

Shrinkflation in consoles.

You could get an Xbox Series X officially discounted at $399 in December 2023.

The Xbox Series S is now officially $399 as of October 2025, with Series X at $649.

I wonder what happened between 2023 and 2025?
September 19, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Xbox Series X|S will see ANOTHER price hike on October 3 in the US due to "changes in the macroeconomic environment."

Game Pass at "nearly $5B annual revenue" puts it at ~21% of total Xbox revenue, and ~23% of Content & Services

It used to be just 15% according to Phil Spencer back in 2022

The bottom 5 are mainly 2019/2020 results for Xbox One

Meanwhile, this past quarter for Content & Services was the 4th largest yet

This is the projection, this isn't happening lol. GTA VI is not getting >60% of PS5/XBS owners in 2 months.

GTA V sold +200M across Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series over a decade. I can see ~25M day 1 but there will be a massive drop off at first. GTA VI will sell over time.
