I realized what her approach would be a few years back in a typically chummy with NPR. During the Alito and his wife flag controversy she said it shouldn't be controversial as the justice has been clear about his religious beliefs and Mrs Alito just likes flags.

I'm guessing he quickly abandoned talking about affordability and bringing prices down and went right back to his classic hits. I'm sure the MSM will just as quickly cover this pivot instead of the economic treatise they told us to expect

Great piece and mostly spot on. Like almost everything in big time college sports it's all about money and influence. The selection committee wants popular, bankable TV friendly teams in and can be convinced by connections and their own biases

Exactly. Living on the NH and now Maine seacoast the Downeaster and Amtrak are a great resource. But any attempt to expand rail access to the rest of the state was considered a communist boondoggle by our GOP state legislators. Beyond the east coast people associate rail service with European.....

As a semi Bostonian with many runner friends/ family who has attended a handful of Boston marathons I know this. Runners will tell you it has the best community support, cheering fans and the city puts on the best parties of any major. But we can also turn anything into a drinking holiday.
