Back teaching for another semester in Thailand and this week is all interdictory lessons: introducing myself, explaining that I am from Canada and asking my students if they know anything about Canada.
Me: Can anyone name a famous Canadian?
Student: Wolverine!
Me: 100% bub!

Not that I am the biggest hockey guy out there, far from it, but I have always appreciated that Canadians GET SHIT DONE! We do not take period and half naps. We are Canada, not the 51st state and the Conservatives’ Governor hopeful Caillou is not in charge.
