I’m looking to upgrade soon so I’ve been looking hard at the options. I’ll most likely try to find a used or refurbished Z8. The Z6III is very tempting with a sensor that is just as fast as the flagships, lower price but giving up some ability to crop-to-zoom for smaller birds.

I think the Z6III is better unless you’re committed to the vintage look for ~+$200. The Z5II is also an upgrade in some areas for ~-$200. I really like the Zf but have heard enough people complain about the lack of grip to be a bit wary. I’m still using an old Z7, and can confirm the 40mm is great
