He was a pet. The oddest dog ever! We kept him in a sporting clip.

Interesting things in the woods up that way.

I definitely noticed a reduction in solar radiation today.

But not as bad as a few places I've been. ;) You see why people up north get sick of it.

TFW you're checking out intel on a challenging fire and Google Street Maps is showing a fire camp you supported last year.

RIP Hot Lips

Seen here feeding us during the World Trade Center recovery effort. What a nice lady.

Just a heads up that I'm going to have my mom's 18.5' Seward Acente up for sale shortly. I have nowhere to keep something that big right now. It's about 18 years old, but hasn't had a lot of use. Probably no use in the last 5-8 years.

Electronic sand table exercises with a command class today. Put some stress on some future captains.

Especially fun with a wildfire behind them.

Funeral for one of my old bosses today. Among an awesome display of his life's history was this shot from the late 90's.

Back when my mustache was still red.

I think the NWS has an "official" site for each location. If that one doesn't report, then the whole town/area gets an M. But there are plenty of other sites. Sadly, the SDGE network doesn't have rain gauges. Also, sadly, Ramona didn't get a lot.

I've had a few close calls with electricity over the years. This one, caused by a panel shorting next to my head, was the closest.

Luckily, I had just bent over, or I would've caught that in the back of the noggin.

Just about done with the solar upgrade on my trailer. Almost to the point where I can run everything - including AC - on solar. Trying to reduce generator use as much as possible.

Plus, house backup.

Not completely sorted, but it works.

Happy Earth Day!
