Big oil doesn’t even want it. They’ve said they don’t plan to drill more. They are focused on profits and returning money to shareholders.

Yeah but in many of these places it accelerated exponentially after NAFTA. In my home area specifically within 5 years of it becoming effective all those plants moved to Mexico. Now they drive by the empty buildings left by that daily.

Yes, but NAFTA vastly accelerated it in small towns as it let textiles easily move to Mexico. My old home town lost all its factories within 5 years of NAFTA and the closures pointed directly at it. Southern small towns were crushed by it.

I grew up in small town AL and it is but not directly. This was the reason a decade ago, now it’s turned to hatred willing to burn down anybody on the democratic side whom they blame for NAFTA which started the downturn.

Similar to so many things, when people are down and have nothing they’re willing to risk everything to get it back.

If there’s a silver lining to this era this would be a good one….

This is why I view charging my car or phone as the grid winding them up lol

His videos are incredibly good.

A throwback to this gem that was focused on NFTs which imploded because they had no intrinsic value. Crypto one day will likely do the same and crush millions who weren’t lucky enough to get out before it happens. youtu.be/YQ_xWvX1n9g?...

The difference is a business provides value and is compensated for that value with revenue and that is what its share price is valued on. Crypto provides no value, its only value is “we think the line will go up” which is great until something bad happens then there’s nothing to support the line.

You’d like to believe that but it’s not. Most bitcoin is controlled by early adopters, they are the ones getting rich. People buying in now just enable it. It’s more a MLM pyramid scheme than Ponzi scheme.
March 25, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Because attacking people has never changed their minds. Focus on giving them viable alternatives not attacking what they have.
March 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Crypto is MLM for men, sadly they were going to get hurt eventually they just blamed the democrats for it. They’ll get hurt again because it’s how pyramid schemes work.

Regardless, any competent company would have been able to prevent a 90% sales drop during a new model switchover

Or getting complacent so everyone catches up, gleers at Tesla’s sales trends.
March 24, 2025 at 2:14 PM
The real question I’m getting out of all this is how can we educate people about how much of their economies and daily lives depend on the federal government.

Any fewer clunks?
March 22, 2025 at 1:57 PM
I mean there’s a backlog of orders for the maverick. Ford can’t make them fast enough. I think the people only buy big trucks thing is a myth/marketing by automakers because big trucks have fatter margins.
March 20, 2025 at 7:50 PM
They could really upend ford’s strategy by releasing a compact pickup that’s similar to the Maverick in size.

More Enron vibes…

As expected, my Texas one’s don’t accept faxes lol

Wonder if they are trying to gather numbers to convince Rivian to sell with them.
