I am a big fan of Pete Bagge, going way back to his Weirdo/Neat Stuff days
Although a legitimate case can be made that his chronicling of Buddy Bradly and his family is what he will be remembered for, I have to say that his 2013 biography of Margaret Sanger, "Woman Rebel", is his finest achievement

Every once in a while, I try to ink some Jack Kirby sketch. I think his best inkers submitted to him (Chic Stone being my favorite), except for the very best inkers who laminated him with their own styles. A best of both, like Wood and Severin. I don't see any of that in my effort, which frustrates.

This one is from the January 1966 issue of Archie’s Christmas Stocking #137. Those prices held pretty steady. Slight difference in the offerings.

Ad from Archie’s Pals ‘n’ Gals no.37, Summer 1969. I can guess that none of those are performed by the original artists, but I am surprised I never really saw many examples of this sort of thing used. Did people find them to be more disposable because they are inorganic covers?

My almost 10 year old Yiynova MVP22U Digital Pen Monitor (pictured on the left) died this morning. It paid for itself 600x over, and cost me pennies per day of usage. The company is dead. They no longer sell the styluses. I will miss it.

Near as I can figure, this is what is going on under that dress. Except, nothing was ever going on under that dress. There were never any real legs, and in the attempt to create an image where none existed before, no one, not even a computer, mapped out where the legs would be.

Been well over a year since I wrote this, which inexplicably drew a hostile reaction. Everything is indeed much worse now, for us, our children, and for Palestine. The worst Dem is better than the best Republican. It does not mean that we need to accept the worst Dem, but we have to be pragmatic.

Today's comics pick ups! Or most of them. I had a gift card for the shop. I was super close to using it to pay for most of a Hate box set, but the chance to fill in some holes in my 4th World collection was too tempting. I already had the Glory Bost issue, but it is so good I wanted it again.
