That brings back memories of frequent Sunday night commutes from York to Aberdeen in the 70s. There was always quite a long halt at Edinburgh (at about 2 am I think) in order to offload the daily newspapers.

I occasionally go similarly astray with a challenging sudoku. Then there's only one way forward - redraw the grid, plug in the original numbers and start over. I will not be beaten! Grrr 😠
