Not just a key win in WI against Musk & Trump, a blowout. And FL House special elections in FL-01 went from +32 Trump to +15, and FL-06 +33 to +14. Yes, they are special elections where Ds overperform, but nonetheless, these are strong, important showings.

Why it matters so much whether we become an autocratic nation like China/Russia, or not. Though far from perfect, we are the dominant economic & military power in the world, and THE bulwark for global democracy & human rights.

The pivot looks to be around 2022, Covid fatigue/inflation driven. Election defining.

Trump et al had been hammering immigration since 2015 on and it looks like it was largely ineffective or possibly helped caused the inverse (more support for immigration).
