What I’m saying is, both things can exist. (As long as there is full communication and no one is cheating.) Most of us deal with both rockiness and new fun things simultaneously. Just not usually in this area of life.

Not everyone is into nonmonogamy, which is just fine. But nonmonogamy isn’t inherently less-than. It’s a reframing of the same exact work you gotta do in any relationship. Affection is not a finite resource.
