Not quite for me. But of the 4 things in the before run picture my after run picture would likely have removed 2 of those things! Still good. But I won’t pretend going for a run is all rainbows and unicorns afterwards, mentally speaking!

After today’s gym session with my wife, she said, “let’s pop to Matalan as there’s some gym leggings I’d like”

As any good husband, I’m open to seeing my wife in gym leggings, naïve to the plan brewed in my darling wife’s head. Damn my easily manipulated self!

Dear readers; the gym leggings…

Surgeon chat confirmed my cyst needs further investigation. There’s a concerning bit that may be something scary, may not. Probably a year to confirm for certain with NHS delays.
My wife will now go on the deceased donor transplant list once she’s had a few more tests; likely February.

So it’s taken my wife falling critically ill, losing kidney function & me putting myself up as a kidney donor & going through the tests to find out I have a large Type 2 cyst on one kidney! Further tests needed for me. Delays to my wife getting a transplant. 🤦‍♂️

So, who am I? Well, from the other place I’m known as a father to a #CHD son who’s had 3 #OHS at the excellent Evelina London Children’s Hospital & most recently my wife suddenly went into full #kidney failure & we’re now on the road to a transplant. I’m hoping to be a living donor. 🤞
