The big picture is that China has shaken off the 1997 promises, but at a personal level, Wera and her family suffer. Cruel.

Same in UK in 2016. Most farmers voted for Brexit and are now complaining it wasn't what they voted for. It is, but they believed the lies, and ignored wiser heads.
