A nationalist waves their flag at desperate strangers in need to scare them away.

A patriot drapes the same desperate stranger in the flag and says “You are now part of our community, and we are united under this flag to help and to protect you. Welcome.”

If we combine scrapping de minimis with mandatory DDP, the US government can literally state that “other countries pay the tariffs” (the big lie), because we - oversees businesses - have to include the tariffs on shipping costs and pay them from abroad on the US customer’s behalf.

Stat Laundering🤷‍♂️.
August 29, 2025 at 7:43 AM
There’s more to it than that. The worlds postal systems are being rewritten to facilitate the Trump lie that other countries pay the tariffs.
No DDU, only DDP - so on paper the tariffs “come from other countries” as overseas vendors are forced to collect them from US customers themselves.

🖖

On the contrary - it costs up to 100 times more to process tiny packages and their tariffs than is gained from them.
That’s the very reason de minimis exists.

Trump and his entire cabinet obviously skipped trade and commerce classes at school.

Also small overseas businesses that Americans love buying from.
He will eventually be held accountable for all his acts of treason. Every last one.

3.) The collected tariffs are technically now from overseas, therefore Trump will claim foreign countries pay the tariffs because the tariffs were paid from abroad.

Trump has essentially destroyed the entire worldwide-US handmade e-commerce industry to cover up his lie about who pays tariffs.
August 28, 2025 at 7:09 AM
2.) What does this mean?

Overseas sellers (private individuals and crafters on Etsy, Shopify etc.) have to collect and pay the tariffs from overseas from and on behalf of their US customers or their products will be returned (return customs fees, at their expense).
August 28, 2025 at 7:09 AM
If we Etsy/Shopify sellers were to collect the tariffs (insane), this would add an enormous admin cost that would be passed on directly to the US consumer.
Many countries don’t provide DDP.

Tariffs are domestic import taxes imposed on a country’s inhabitants.

Major class action lawsuits ahead…

You, too!
Italy has just suspended all shipments to the USA indefinitely.
August 21, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Some countries are outright stopping ALL packages to the US. Finland is the latest (as of the 22nd).
I’ll see what happens in the morning when I try to make my shipping labels (EU)😀.
Etsy themselves state in the T&Cs that all tariffs are the responsibility of the buyer.
August 21, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Nope. Not yet.Tariffs are domestic import taxes to be paid by US customers, and I’m not sure why we are being asked to pay them as overseas exporters. It doesn’t seem legal…

Yes. Today marks the official death of the United States of America.

Literally.

It’s the age-old question of “What did you do to stop the Nazis rise to power? Why didn’t you speak out or do something?”. But in this day and age, we need to ask why the mainstream media is complicit in normalising the actions of an uneducated, illiterate, low-IQ convicted felon & insurrectionist.

There ain’t enough popcorn in the world…
I guess the doubts people have been weary of sharing regarding the election results may soon come to the forefront. After all we’ve seen from these two and their total disregard for democracy, ballot rigging may be the least surprising thing...

It’s not “The Gulf of America”, it’s “The Gulf of Mexico”.

It’s not “Reform”, it’s “UKIP”.

It’s not “UKIP”, it’s “The British Union of Fascists” (if we wish to use the name and identity it was assigned at birth).

Fascist rebranding is a perpetual tool to get historically ignorant youth on board.

Former ESL teacher here - his level of English, vocabulary, comprehension, understanding and fluency are below that of an ESL 3rd grader with learning difficulties from an educationally marginalised community.
He would fail across the board on all counts - even as a native speaker.

What gets me (and the rest of the world) is that there have been no questions as to his education, mental ability and IQ (as well as all the other factors mentioned). We simply can’t understand why it’s not been addressed since 2015 at all by the media and Senate.
The guy is functionally illiterate

I’m the time between the referendum and today, each of these people could have acquired 2 or 3 European Studies degrees, and yet they still don’t know what FoM is, and are now recycling the lies that were used to groom them - even though those who groomed them gave up using the said lies years ago.
