Progress continues on the Fae Captain! Black matelasse waistcoat with velvet collar and Czech glass buttons with gold highlights and an inset rhinestone. Two working pockets, of course! Velvet frock coat is next.

Finished Fae captain's linen shirt with ruffles at the neck and cuff. Waiting for button glue to dry before taking waistcoat pictures.

Monday morning tea and costume math. 32 buttons x 5 minutes per each for machine buttonholes, hand cutting the hole, and sewing in place. The 33rd button is an extra that will be pinned in a pocket.
Monday morning's strong tea accompanies small piles of organized wooden shank backed buttons, awaiting placement on a frock coat, while the other pieces of the outfit look on from the mannequin in the background.
