Just remembered a sign I saw on a huge board outside a dairy farm in County Antrim. 'Our cows are outstanding in their field.' No ad agency needed there.

This was from a set of pics I did in Cuba in 2013. Came across these guys just down the street from where we were staying in Trinidad and for a whole week never saw them interact with each other. Free enterprise at work.

I took this pic last year and titled it 'Heavy Traffic'. The deceptive image is on the road to the Cotswold airport in Gloucestershire where they store unused aircraft. From the road it looks like there could be trouble ahead.

My Irish grand neice age 13 hates poetry and submitted this to a kids competition.
Mary had a little lamb
But the butcher killed it dead
So now she takes her lamb to school between two lumps of bread.
God, what's she going to be like as an adult.

I used to experiment in photoshop making cartoon style images from original photos. Here are a few results.

My wife Sher and youngest granddaughter Elsbeth, 6 on our walk on Sunday. I couldn't help feeling there was something magical about this image. Maybe old age is making me overly sentimental.

I used to do a lot of black an' white pictures in my working days as a photographer because I loved the raw power of the images, so thought I'd post a few. Hope you like them. One is a Che Guevara lookalike in Havana, the others were in my home country of Ireland.

Overheard in an Irish pub yesterday. Somebody shouting "Ahh get lost ya little turd."
Effeminate male voice from the kitchen shouts back. "Let me tell you something, there's only three kinds of turd in this place, there's mustard, custard an' you ya big shit."

I'm sure our dog Keeva is spying on me.

Hello Bluesky, greetings from an ancient Irishman with a background in photography and journalism. It would be good to to hear from fiction writers everywhere. I love a good sense of humour. The caption for the pic below is 'Irritable owl syndrome'
