Falling on the sword in this case means that more Ds were in agreement but they knew of the backlash, so these 8 are folks that are either not running again or not up for reelection in 26, the hope was that the pp would see them as rogue and not think that this was a whole party decision

Grassley was there when they signed the constitution. He's old school GOP. I may be wrong, but if he's not under the other 3, I don't think he's a believer in the P2025 philosophy. Not saying he'll be great but I don't see him cozing up to Putin,ignoring/arresting judges, getting rid of DoE, etc.
