As with pretty much every other problematic technology/invention, the issue is not with the thing itself but with that the fact it exists in a capitalist framework where the control of it lies with those driven solely by profits.

I wonder if there's some kid of tacit agreement between Newsom and MAGA:
1. In 2028, Newsom runs against Trump as the token opposition candidate -- with the full intention of losing,
2. MAGA gets to maintain a facade of democracy into a 3rd Trump term,
3. Newsom doesn't get murdered in the purge(s).
