I can't help but think that someone gave Trump a briefing on climate, the Northwest Passage, sea trade, and Russian naval routes, and had to watch on in horror as he got that pout that he does when he's thinking and came to the conclusion that "we should have those allied bits."

A bit ago I was saying when everyone else was going "oh don't worry he doesn't mean it for real, he just wants to use it as leverage" that, man, this is the guy who fomented an insurrection. You think a little imperialism is beyond him?

Looks like Trudeau may finally step down.
Too little, too late. As one of the Liberals who's bren frustrated for years with the direction of the party and the political games (played poorly), this should have happened when we still had a chance to salvage what was left.

Re: Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, it's really good. I've always said the central crux of Scott Pilgrim is that, like every good bildungsroman, the protagonist starts the tale flawed -- in Pilgrim's case, as a total ass of a manchild. The show doubles down on that premise. Loved it.

I've been a critic of Israeli policy for as long as I can remember. I probably was one of the first people to point out Israeli use of willie pete several years ago before major news outlets caught on. I will continue being a critic of Netanyahu policy. But... it's a big but 1/4
