Absolutely gorgeous spring afternoon hike on #MayDay. The Guy and I are hiking behind Susie’s Lake, in a protected wilderness area - 20 minutes or so from #Halifax City Hall. Bliss.

The lights shining through the puffs of snow tonight are lovely and magical! The Clayton Park deer have left their hoofprints :)

Deer prints on a quiet Christmas Eve – a small herd has wandered this subdivision since the 60s.

The Guy & I agree this is the shittiest Xmas ever. A Series of Unfortunate Events in the past 2 weeks have led to my house in shambles; 20+ people for dinner arrive on Boxing Day.

WE ARE FINE. (Not.)

Calypso, my best ♥️ dog, canoeing at Milford House. She is gone now, but I will be forever grateful for the bond we shared. Hiking dog, paddling dog, roadtrip dog, beach dog, up-for-anything dog. We shared so much in 15 years.

WHAT A FINISH!

Snow? Not lately! We’ve had none to speak of the last few years, at least along the Atlantic coast. We veer wildly between buried & ‘why did I bother changing my tires???’ But 2015 …

After dark, take in the view from Terrasse Dufferin, then walk down Rue Fort to Côte-de-la-Montagne, to stairs leading down into Rue-de-petit-Champlain. Very touristy, but very pretty. Lapin Sauté is a rabbit/duck restaurant down there - often great (sometimes meh!). A funicular takes you back up!

... and definitely less than a Liz Truss lettuce. Hey, anyone remember that excruciating photo of Mitt Romney dining with Trump, when he was hoping to be named Secretary of State?

Same vibes.

Or the former marina next to Fishermen’s Wharf in San Francisco, taken over some years ago by hundreds of sea lions.
