You can thank Michael Gove and his primary school curriculum change for fronted adverbials and for squeezing any joy and creativity out of learning. They don’t even do grammar at GCSE level, so it’s forgotten about at secondary school.

….and this is 2024. Please make this stop. How can there be so many little children going hungry? The world has turned so topsy turvy that we’re now celebrating the opening of foodbanks. Poverty isn’t something we have to accept. These are real kids who are suffering.
